Hi there,
I have this rogue alter-ego running around with me today. It's the persona that wants me to challenge the "way things are done" mentality. I don't want to run my business the way everyone else does. I want to try something different, shake it up a little or maybe a lot!
When I first started my coaching company I had some pretty "out-there" ideas. I shared them with a few close friends and was told "oh, keep that to yourself or someone will steal your idea." Okay, what's wrong with that if it means more people learn about the benefits of working with a coach, any coach! Think about it, if every adult in the US alone worked with a coach we wouldn't have enough coaches to handle them all! Coaching is not limited to the US, it is a worldwide enterprise, no borders folks. That is mind boggling to me.
So this takes me to the title of this blog: The power of a partnership. I challenge you, if you don't already have one, to develop a partnership with at least one other similar enterprise. Yes even solo-preneurs can benefit from establishing a relationship like this. Oh you say, what about competition, will there be enough business to go around? Of course there will. That is the power of partnerships, they feed you and you feed them, no one can handle everything.
It does take some courage to make that first contact. By taking your time now to identify and develop the relationship you can nullify those fears up front.
Imagine what it would be like if we all worked together, instead of trying to outdo each other. I think the state of our world would be in a much better place!
Something to think about, hmmm.
Cheers,
Coach Linda B
